General Misdemeanours

I was interested to read that General Stanley McChrystal, US Commander in Afghanistan, was sacked by President Obama following critical comments he made about senior administration officials in a magazine.

The interesting thing was WHICH Magazine. No, not the fascinating Consumer Magazine Which? It was in Rolling Stone, that cool, hip, West Coast home of everything groovy.

I wondered why an interview was such a big deal until I realised this is where it had been published. I suppose the British equivalent crime would be "consorting with the N.M.E.".

Anyway, here's a quick tour of Norfolk I made yesterday on my bike. I took my banjo with me obviously.

Lovely poppies. But I must admit, I wanted to see Oz or Lily bursting through them.

How many years have you been waiting to say that?
And Norfolk, if I may say so, looks a bit flat.

Jon: You can travel faster without them hills.

Timorous: My shutter speed wasn't fast enough to catch them.

Vicus: True. I've waited decades for an American General to have a turn with a leading Music publication. I was beginning to lose hope....
