When I was working at the university, I did seek clarification from students now and then. "Are you telling me, or asking me?" Such questions were usually followed by an awkward silence.
I always speak with authority, even when I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Ha! I've been rolling downhill on my own bandwagon of uncertainty for several years now, y'know?

Too late, I suppose, for Victor Borge to have done the punctuation.
