Absolutely Lupine

We are big fans of Norfolk born Shaun Ellis, the chap who adopted a pack of Timber Wolf cubs and grew up with them to become part of their pack in, er, North Devon. He feeds them cooked liver from his mouth and risks serious injury to romp around with these fearsome beasts as their Akela. And he has insisted that his girl friend joins in as a Wolf Nanny, featured in the recent TV programme Mr & Mrs Wolf.

Shaun would be interested in a discovery I made yesterday - a tiny child that had been actually raised by wolves....

Brought up by baskets. Nice one.

Yes, tell us more about the boy brought up by baskets. Was his dad the Wicker Man?

KAZ said...

Sorry - Oz and Lily as wild lupine beasts?
I know Lily tries to escape - but they wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Timorous: It's a long but richly woven story.

Dave: The Wicker Man went off to live very comfortably on 3 million air miles.

Kaz: They don't look very fierce in the pictures, I grant you. If Oz escaped, he's take one of our credit cards with him.

I was brought up with Wolves. Used to have a season ticket.

That boat will never float, you know.

Eat your heart (or liver) out, Romulus! (And Remus, for that matter...)

Malc: I was somehow expecting that! I'm pleased I wasn't brought up with Canaries.

Richard: He went to Sea in a Seive you know!

Dott: Are they the twin strikers at Wolves these days?

So, we have one child who is a basket case and an even younger one sharing a dead sheep with two brush heads! Do social services know this address!?

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

John: That's a very good point. I may have to delete the You Tube evidence.

This is all completely normal. Children should be brought up by dogs.

Z: Agreed!

If you're a handyman you could make a film about the boy raised by monkeys.

They are indeed fearsome beasts. I have serious concerns for the boy. Will he be able to integrate with society?

Moreidle: Good idea. It's a jungle out there you know.

Hotter: As long as he's taken for long walks and can stick his head out the car window he'll be fine.

Hilarious, Rog! Made my day. But I agree with Kaz -- Lily and Oz as wild wolves? In their dreams, maybe.

BTW, this experience goes to show you: never put a verbal child in a nearby basket while shooting a video of his younger sibling with wolves in sheep's clothing. He'll always give your shtick away. Always.

(On the second thought, you know, maybe he too was raised by canines -- basket-hounds? Well, in any case, child services should be notified ASAP. The children look dangerous enough to cause harm to the helpless canines. Wolves, I mean.)
