Every Little Helps

We don't watch much TV by and large as we work in the evenings and when we do it is mainly BBC channels so we don't see that many adverts.

Nevertheless we caught this one on TV this evening and I think it is a work of genius. At last a TV ad that doesn't treat its audience like morons!

Well done Tesco.

I saw a different version of this last night and thought the same.
The first bits are so convincingly like all the other ads that make me shout at the TV.
Hold on though - where's my pogo stick?

Pogo stick? If you want to cripple your tread, it's just the thing.

I'm not bothered about mobile credits but

I couldn't be bothered to finish that. Not sure what I want in life. It's all so grey at the moment.

It's definitely one of my favourite ads at the moment. Kaz is right, the first part is so authentic it makes me grind my teeth.

my wv: virchal (just like this blog)

Kaz: If I hadn't just bought a Tesco iPhone I'd buy a Tesco iPhone. When this ad came on I threw a cushion at the TV thinking it was real...

Christopher: Cripple your Tread? .... Ah, triple your cred ... Masterful work!!! I award the 5* pun certificate.

Dave: Grey? I think it's about time you dyed it red.

Roses: Exactly. Amongst the sea of Meerkats, Go Compare Tenors and women complaining about bloat and marching through Boots it was a shining example of creativity.

I use Tesco Mobile and find their free credit monthly very useful. (I get extra Clubcard points for saying that)

What are mobile credits?

What irritates me about Tesco, is that when they send my club card money off vouchers, it's barely enough to buy a bottle of Champagne. What else would I go there for, for gawdsake.

Well it's a whole lot better than Bob Hoskins as a talking trolley.

It wasn't Bob Hoskins, it was David Jason, wasn't it?

It shoulda been Bob!

actually I'd rather turn my office into a playground than have triple credit from Tesco

Maybe the ad doesn't treat us like morons; or does it?

To me it's a brainwashing ad about money, making money, and all about getting more money.

In this world today it seems that everyone is chasing wealth and material possessions to the exclusion of living a happy life.

Didn't someone once say "If in this life we have no time to stand stare. . . ."
