Roses grow on you

The highlight of the Way of the Roses Coast to Coast Cycle last week was possibly the path through the grounds of Fountains Abbey near Ripon.

I got my iPhone out to film the ride down a loose gravel path and half way down a herd of deer started running parallel with me. It was like swimming with the dolphins.

Bravo! I'm saddle-sore, just watching.

Well, that's enough exercise for me today.

PS movie scene was a bit wobbly. Try using a tripod rather than a bicycle next time.

Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe? Ye gods!

Well done on the ride... amazed you didn't fly over the handlebars trying to film it at the same time!

Martin: That's why they say "Ars longa, vita brevis"

Dave: I was shaking with fear!

Sarah: Knowing me, knowing you - AHA!

Biro: It was actually "The old knackered man"

my mistake! misread it as: The Old Man's Knackers

Well done that man!

You done us proud.

Even if the video footage did make me want to hurl.

Biro: You've seen their sausage rolls?.

Roses: I think you should be proud that this route was named after you.

Well done, Rog. And I see you've topped £500. Does this include what you took for your souvenir saddle on Ebay?

Thanks Chris. I have listed it with a high Arse King price.

Quite right, Rog, but it must have been a hard decision to sell(e). Cleft stick?
