Slight Return

Mrs Rine is carrying on the granddaughter sitting for a few days so me and Oz are having a bit of a blokefest Saturday night involving a front room, a settee, bare feet, a coffee table, a steak and kidney pie, Eric Clapton, Stevie Winwood, Voodoo Chile, the remains of a Simnel Cake and a bottle of Sauvingon Blanc.

Lil has gone up to bed in disgust.

Sounds like a great night in.

How much of the steak and kidney pie and Sauvingon Blanc did Oz get?

Sauvignon Blanc - you know that's my favourite!
Much too good for lads.

Eric Clapton has been inducted three times into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Once with Yardbirds, once as a solo artist and once with Cream.

Coincidently I had apple crumble three times last week. Once with custard, once with ice cream and once with...

oh, please yerselves.

Timorous: That's what Guineviere said.

Dave: As much as was good for him.

Sarah: I don't believe in unprotected socks.

Kaz: I'll admit it doesn't sound too blokey. I thought it would add a bit of sophistication to the evening.

Geoff: My auntie used to be a ginger baker with cream.

Sounds like a great evening. Keep on drinking the sauvignon blanc without stint - you'll be supporting the French export trade thus reducing their craven dependence on us expats to keep their economy afloat.

If it's French sauvignon blanc, of course
