I saw this notice yesterday at the auction. I assumed they would arrive by Air Mail.
It also made me wonder if it had anything to do with this old post which Mr Murph was tied up to. I think he was wondering at the time if birds could actually read but I suppose they could have been Reed Tits, otherwise known as Sun readers.
You have found a GR post box!! I've got a bit of a sad thing going on... I stop at VR post boxes and... I'll shut up. This is making me sound weird. Sx
Vicus: There's no Ginger Roger round here! Although I have got Puddin' on my Top Hat, Puddin' on my white tie...
Jon: We should start a campaign to replace the godawful "Lol" with the much more quirky and Beano like "Teehee".
Scarlett: Funnily enough I've got 150 jpegs of Post Boxes as I could never walk past without taking a picture. The ones set in walls of ivy and different coloured bricks were best. I had to stop as people thought I was weird or post-modernist...
Christopher: My dear chap, I seem to have made you invisible! Good point re George but I can't for the life of me make your link work so am wondering who Andre is.
funnily enough I was thinking about posts today - I was thinking (which is always dangerous) that post is British and mail is USish - therefore from now on I shall be sending epost and leaving voicepost and any mail can get stuffed.
We have tits nesting in our ladies loo overflow at school - it must be an odd shaped nest or they're in the cistern.

Thank you.
What does GR stand for? I was unaware that Ginger Rogers had Norfolk connections.
Tee Hee!

The first thing Mr. M would have wanted to know would be which George? Apparently it makes a difference to which leg you lift first.
With regard to the nesting family, the man you want is here:

I have a tit box, but I'm saying no more about it, as it leaves one open to so much innuendo.
*wants to know what Scarlet does at Victorian post-boxes*
...hmmm...that would be telling...

WV: concept
Whisper it in my ear.

Dave: I've heard you were averse to innuendo....
Yes, I'm also drawn to old post boxes... I know that I will soon be taking pictures.
Red telephone kiosks have a similar effect on me.

Scarlett: Telephone kiosks are also in my remit!

Nesting blue tit family? I thought the Camerons were out of bounds now.
Ho ho!
Ziggi: Trust a Fepost like you to come up with that! I hope the school tits aren't flushed out.
Geoff: I'm sure you'll join my new campaign to promote the use of TeeHee instead of Lol. I've got TeeHee Creme of 10cc on board.
Fepost - oh yes tee hee!
Love the poster. Wonder how many stamps it takes to post them.
Ziggi: tee hee! See, it's working. Facebook group heading for the million mark!
Madame de F: A great deal of philately will get you a long way!
