The Watering Can

We were selling an antique watering can in our ebay shop recently and had a question asking for more details about the condition.

I replied as follows:

"Well constructed with pleasing lines and although it has seen better days it exudes character and is still quite serviceable with a pleasantly bronzed patina - it also balances and handles well. It has had a few knocks and bashes over the years but will still polish up quite presentably and would look very much at home in a sunny conservatory. The spout still works and it can still hold its liquid."

Having introduced myself, I went on to describe the watering can.
