Mid Summer Corn

It's the Mid-Summer Solstice and our Summer appears to have grabbed a Ryan Air last minute bargain and  slipped away for a few days R&R in the Mediterranean leaving us cold and wintry. We lit a fire last night and the lounge filled up completely with smoke. I suppose we should have waited to get a fireplace installed. There's nothing on the Telly apart from seriously unentertaining football and repeats, the air is sour with cutbacks and doom and I've got to go to the Post Office in the morning with a parcel the size of the Post Office.

Still, mustn't grumble, eh. Here's a quick pic of one of my favourite dogs to one of my favourite tunes, although You Tube have taken to muting the soundtracks of videos recently. Pip Pip!

The bastards have muted it! Right, that's it, I'm off to the Pirate Bay - the Record Industry can do what Nicolas Anelka suggested to his manager (according to Christopher who knows about theses things).

Still, if it had been hot yesterday, we wouldn't have got the job done so quickly, and the ladies would have come in shorts and skimpy tops...

Ah, I see the flaw in my 'always look on the bright side' argument.

I'll name that tune in three.

Youtube is a pain in the trousers.

If you'd care to give Kaz a virtual gift, please pop over to my place.

You peaked a day early. Hopefully the sun reappeared for you at 4.43 this morning. I was going to get up but I only managed to fall asleep around 4.

Just to let you know, it's about 25 degrees here in the Tropic of Crewe.

Richard and I will send you some sunshine over later.
He'll be the one with the short fat hairy legs.

Kaz! How did you know?

Hope you're bearing up, too x

It's hot and steamy in my greenhouse. I had to strip off. Not that this was necessarily a pretty sight.

Dave: Oh Dear. It would have been like a Club 18-61 Party.

Geoff: No you won't. It was the theme from "Local Hero" by Mark Knopfler.

Madame DF: We are basking today. Nothing if not variety in the UK.

Vicus: Sadly I had to Google to find out who he is. Still not sure.

Sarah: She's inherited it from me.

Dynamo: Strewth! Done!

Richard: Tropic of Crewe indeed! The Crickets and Tree Frogs are no doubt keeping you awake.

KAZ: HURRAH!!!! Have you popped over to Morecambe? It's unusual for Manchester to be bathed in sunlight unless it's when Ferguson stands up.

Z: I hope you drew the curtains! You could have had some Walls Ice Cream.
