Suffolk 'n What

We get invited to parties about as often as Bill Haley's Comet comes round but today was one of those days!

We had been invited to a "Wool Party" by Zoe in Suffolk and accordingly turned up with our two small woollydogs who were surprised and delighted to meet the famous Errol the Sheep. "Fancy meeting Ewe here", said Wooly Oz. They knitted in well together.

Turns out it wasn't a wool party at all but a WALL party to celebrate the extensive Calor Gas Tank Screening Wall completed last year by Zoe, the Sage & their nubile young assistant Dave. That's it behind the Bearmobile.

Young Christopher was over from France and had a staring contest with Sarah to decide who would pick up the glass of Sauvignon first.

This Gallic trouble-maker in his cravat then had the nerve to conduct a seance around the hand-made oak table. I had no idea he used to be a seance teacher.

Zoe was the hostess with the mostest and produces a wonderful array of beautiful food culminating in Sticky Toffee, Bread & Butter and Queen O'Puddings for dessert. Once again Christopher stepped up to the Oche (or should it be Och-Aye?) and produced a stunning 4 pud performance that would not have embarrassed Eric Pickles.

Oz 'n' Lil were the real stars of the party.

You forgot to take the team photo in front of the wall, didn't you?

Where is the pic of Dave in his lycra number and feather boa?

It only needed Errol sitting on top of the wall to turn it into a rampart.

Brilliant write-up and I love the pictures. Next year we could celebrate the rebuilding of the summer house with a tennis party, perhaps.
