Rain

It seems to have been raining all day, which is most unusual for the barren parched desert of East Angular. My met office App had a dire "Amber Alert" for heavy rain so it shouldn't have come as a surprise. Warnings of "standing water issues" (or "puddles" as we used to call them in the olden days) were coupled with an encouragement for the public to "take extra care". However did we cope.

Normally rain means we have to prise our two canine girls out of their baskets as they don't like rain. They quite like the fact that rain dampens firework displays which they also don't like, but they don't like getting wet. I suppose if I only had a fur coat which I couldn't take off I'd agree with them.

This morning, however, they had new coats which had arrived from eBay and they seemed quite keen to get out and try them out. So keen in fact that I couldn't catch them or their tails in focus.

Then I noticed that Holly (aka Tiny Tink) was looking a little less than totally happy.

Eventually Lily was able to explain. Apparently the Tiny Tink had set her heart on one of these. Tiny McTink.

Come to think about it.....

You got an amber warning? I've never got beyond yellow, and that's when the water is lapping at the windowsills. I've never seen kilt envy before...

Big Nana says that Tiny Tinks dream coat is very like the kilt you wore for Vic's wedding. Must run in the family :)

Nota: You should have seen them at Vic's wedding.

Paff: I think you'll find that the one I wore was more modest around the rear quarters. I do like to see a Tartan Mackintosh though....

You spoil those dogs!

Yes they are spoilt rotten but now you have seen the epitome of doggy chic you have to get at least one (they could take turns)

Gabby: Yes it's a pleasant sight!

Di: That's a very good suggestion! A little Llama Karma!

Z: That's what I always say.

Pat: I've added a picture of a slightly less shaggy but otherwise matching one...

I notice you've avoided wearing yours in the rain.
