Live each day as if it is your last...

A pleasant few days near Hexham in prospect as the aging frame makes some neccessary repairs and sucks its teeth and shakes its head saying "big job this ... Going to be next Tuesday... You can't get the spares....".

One brief moment of the C2C comes back to me. On the second day I was pushing the pannier laden steed up a relentless hill out of the Lakes when I glanced to the left and saw a small C2C memorial stone to someone called Billy Minikin.

It read:

"Live every day as if it is your last but plan like you'll live forever".

Wise words Billy.

He probably insisted on pedalling up this 1 in 5 for the sheer crack and as he clutched his chest must have thought "I'm bloody glad I planned that memorial stone!"

Be reassured that the air in Hexham is renowned for it's restorative powers!

It must be all that steam from the Industrial Plants Jon!

Please clarify. Which aging frame are you referring to?

What industry? It all went long ago, it's all lawyers, accountants and un-civil servants now....

Looks like some serious recovery going on there..

How could you drink that baby's milk?

No, I"m sorry, I'm laughing too much to say anything. Rarely, it's not at your wit.

Can't go on. Hahaha. Sorry, I think I need to lie on the floor.

I shouldn't find it funny, but I do. I shall start living my life, puffed with success.

those are some very posh looking flowers, and big too.

Scarlet: My tyred frame!

Jon: There's a lot of hot air coming from somewhere!

Geoff: That's Big Al. That's why he's so tall.

Z: I hope you're not laughing at Big Al!

Madame DF: I'm glad you're inspired!

Ziggi: Big Al isn't a posh flower. It's quite a posh cottage though with moisturizer provided.d
